Bali’s Newest Tourism Icon – The Nusa Penida Yellow Bridge
The newly rebuilt Yellow Bridge connecting Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Lembongan off the East Coast of Bali has somewhat become Bali’s newest tourists’ attraction; it has even been named as one of Bali’s most Instagrammable spots yet!
The bright yellow of the bridge strikes an attractive contrast to the deep blue of the sea below and the sky above, creating the perfect backdrop for the ideal holiday photo.
Also known as the “Bridge of Love”, the Yellow Bridge was constructed at a cost of Rp. 3.4 billion after the collapse of the old bridge, was officially consecrated in a Hindu ceremony on February 25, 2017. New additions of colourful night lights adorn the newly constructed bridge.
Not only physically larger but stronger than its predecessor, the new Yellow Bridge is capable of supporting 30 tons but with traffic restricted to pedestrians and motorcycles.
